1. This agreement

These terms cover your use of talkingtailsdogtraining.com and the dog training services provided by Talking Tails Dog Training (“Talking Tails”, “we”, “us”), based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. By using this site, submitting a form, or booking training with us, you agree to them.

If we give you a separate written training agreement, board-and-train contract or release form to sign, that document controls wherever it differs from this page.

2. Using this site

Everything here is offered for general information about our training programs. It is not behavioral, veterinary or legal advice for your particular dog, and reading it does not create a client relationship — that starts when we agree on a program together.

We work to keep the site accurate, but details like pricing, class dates and availability change. Nothing on the site is a binding offer until we confirm it with you directly.

Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it wholesale, or use it to send anything unlawful, threatening or deceptive.

3. Services & quotes

We offer puppy training, obedience training, private lessons, group classes, board-and-train and behavior work. Which program suits your dog is decided at the free evaluation, not before it.

The evaluation is free and carries no obligation. Any price we quote is based on what we saw and what you told us at that evaluation; if the situation turns out to be materially different, we'll talk to you before anything changes.

We can decline or end a program — for example, if a dog presents a danger we're not equipped to manage safely, if a required vaccination is missing, or if instructions are not being followed at home. Where we end a program early for reasons outside your control, we'll refund the unused portion.

4. Booking & payment

Programs are booked with a deposit, with the balance due on the schedule we set out in writing when you enroll. Your spot is held once the deposit clears.

We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking, and we offer flexible financing through All Pet Card. Financing is a separate agreement between you and the lender; its terms, approval and interest are theirs, not ours, and we're not a party to it.

Sessions that go unpaid past their due date may be paused until the account is current.

5. Scheduling & cancellations

Training runs on appointments, so a missed one is time we can't give to another dog. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a private lesson or evaluation.

We'll do the same for you. If we have to move a session — weather, illness, a trainer's emergency — we'll reach you as early as we can and reschedule at no cost.

Group class fees cover the block of classes, not individual sessions; missed classes generally can't be credited, though we'll help you make up material where we can.

6. Health, vaccination & safety

Every dog who trains with us must be up to date on core vaccinations and free of contagious illness, and we may ask for proof from your veterinarian before the first session.

Please keep a sick or recently-exposed dog at home, and tell us about any bite history, injury, medication, allergy or medical condition that could affect training. We need to know, and a dog is safer when we do.

If a dog is injured or falls ill in our care, we'll try to reach you immediately. If we can't and the situation is urgent, you authorize us to obtain veterinary treatment at your expense.

7. What we need from you

Training is a two-sided job. You agree to:

• Practise between sessions and follow the plan we give you at home — this is where most of the progress actually happens.
• Give us accurate information about your dog's history and behavior.
• Keep your dog leashed and under control around our facilities, class locations and other clients.
• Carry any insurance or licensing your municipality requires, and comply with local leash and nuisance ordinances.
• Be the dog's legal owner, or have the owner's permission to enroll them.

8. Results

We're confident in our methods and our trainers, and we're straight with you about what they can do. Dogs are living animals, not appliances: outcomes depend on the dog, the history, the household and how consistently the plan is followed after we leave. We do not guarantee specific results, timelines, or that any behavior will be permanently eliminated.

Any timeline we give you is our honest estimate from experience, not a promise.

9. Risk & liability

Working with dogs carries inherent risk — bites, scratches, knocks and falls can happen even with careful handling, and even with dogs who have never done it before. By training with us you accept that risk for yourself and anyone you bring along.

You remain responsible for your dog's behavior and for any injury or damage they cause to people, animals or property, except where it is caused by our own negligence.

To the fullest extent Tennessee law allows, our total liability arising out of your use of this site or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the services in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Photos & video

We sometimes photograph or film sessions and classes for training review and for our website and social media. Unless you tell us otherwise, you permit us to use images of your dog this way, without payment. Tell any trainer at any time if you'd rather we didn't, and we'll stop — it changes nothing about your training.

Images of people are only published with permission.

11. Your information

The details you send through our forms — name, phone, email, and what you tell us about your dog — are used to reply to you, to book and run your training, and to take payment. We don't sell your information or trade it to third parties.

By giving us your number you agree that we may call or text you about your inquiry and your training. Newsletter signup is separate and optional; every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop texting at any time by replying STOP or telling a trainer.

This site uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors find and use the pages. That involves cookies and standard technical data such as your approximate location, browser and the pages you view. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any of the content here.

12. Third-party services

Our contact form, newsletter signup and assessment quiz are hosted by a third-party provider and embedded on our pages, and our videos and reviews may be served from platforms such as YouTube, Google and Facebook. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what you submit or watch there.

Links to other websites are offered for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.

13. Our content

The text, photographs, video, logo, name and design of this site belong to Talking Tails Dog Training or are used with permission. You're welcome to share links and quote us with credit; please don't republish our material or use our branding as your own without asking first.

14. Changes

We may update these terms as the business changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the revision date shown alongside. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms; the version in force when you booked applies to work already underway.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Rutherford County, Tennessee.

If any part of this page is found unenforceable, the rest of it stands.
