What to look for in a training video
Any trainer can post a highlight reel. The useful thing to watch is the dog, not the handler.
Is the dog loose and comfortable, or stiff and shut down? Is the behavior happening around real distraction, or in an empty room? Does the owner get a turn on camera, or only the trainer? Are you seeing the messy middle of the process, or only the polished final rep?
